Sourced from Sri Lankan tropical forests & made from the first flowering of the Kithul palm tree. Kithul Jaggery (කිතුල් හකුරු) is a healthy alternative for refined sugar. Jaggery is a traditional sugar consumed in Sri Lanka and Asian countries. It is a concentrated product of Kithul palm sap (තෙලිජ්ජ) without separation of the molasses and crystals and can vary from golden brown to dark brown in color. The Pure Kithul Jaggery we produce contains up to 60% sucrose, up to 7% cane sugars, up to 20% moisture, and the remainder made up of other insoluble matter, such as wood ash, proteins, and bagasse fibers. Ideal with a cup of tea, baking & making desserts.
